California

I've lived in the Bay Area for over three years, but it took me until this past weekend to realize that there is land like this just 20 minutes north of San Francisco:

By the side of the freeway:

Sunday:

California rocks.

There is a land like that 20 minutes south of San Francisco too.

The google earth is not the territory.

You need to get away from your computer and get outside! Check out Hearst Castle, San Luis Obispo, Big Sur, 17 mile drive, Monterey, Carmel, Point Reyes, etc...

Try Mill Valley, it will blow your socks off, especially compared to San Francisco! Also, I took a few pictures from the vista point just off 101, at the north end of the Golden Gate Bridge and posted them at http://flickr.com/photos/hdiwan/tags/marin -- enjoy!

On a different topic, I saw a article talking about Google&April Fool day, your name was in that article. I knew you about 2~3 years ago, but I never knew that you are so popular now.

Beautiful. Lived in San Jose briefly as a teenager. We used to travel up to Carmel quite a bit--it's like setting foot on another planet. Californians are so spoiled, all that gorgeous weather and scenery just melts their faculties. Wish I had stayed. :)

even within the city the various nature within is phenomenol - no where else, i think
but you go north and you think you're in the middle of nowhere(in a good way :-))
